Defoaming masterbatch is an additive used to inhibit foam production in plastic products, which can eliminate or prevent the formation of bubbles through different mechanisms. According to different application scenarios and needs, defoaming masterbatch can be divided into various types, including:
Mechanical defoaming type. By adding fine particles to the plastic to inhibit the spread of bubbles.
1. Surface active dosage form. It is used to improve the surface tension of plastics and prevent bubbles caused by surface tension.
Gas diffusion type. The formation of air bubbles is avoided by increasing the speed of gas diffusion in the plastic.
In addition, the defoaming masterbatch is also known as plastic desiccant, moisture absorption masterbatch or water absorption masterbatch, which is mainly used to absorb water in plastic raw materials and prevent bubbles or water marks caused by water.
